First Month: No Period?!

So my old high school had a clinic that supplied free birth control (Tri Cyclen Lo) I was on it for about 2 years and I didn’t really feel such harsh effects. I recently graduated so I was off of it for a while (August-November) and I finally got my hands on a new birth control recommended by the GYN because it was a similar hormone balanced pill (Lo Loestrin Fe). I have felt heavy symptoms in my mood but that’s the least of my worries... I didn’t get my period the first month? I’m now on the second month. I ran to my girl friends and they said when you start BC again you often don’t get your period the first month. However I remember getting my period the first month of Tri Cyclen Lo. Should I be concerned or just overthinking?
