So for me, I know eventually I would want to get back to work because you can’t be a stay at home mom forever unless you keep pushing kids out lol It’s going to be nearly impossible to jump back in depending on the career you’re in. Plus I’m not JUST a mom. I didn’t get my masters just for it to go to waste. 
I love being home with my daughter for a year and looking forward to doing it again when this baby comes but to give up my career? I could not do it.

We could, but I wouldn’t want that. We could also do it the other way around: him being a stay at home dad. He wouldn’t want that either.
I’ll have 4 months leave (starting one month before the baby is born), after three months I’ll start working two days a week again and after that, I plan on working four days a week (so when the little dude is 6 months). My bf will work four instead of five days once the little dude is here, so we’ll both have a baby day a week. The other three days he’ll go to kindergarten.

We don’t need my income but I do love what I do. I work for a major Fashion company in nyc but now that I had my son and I’m 29 weeks pregnant with my daughter, they let me adjust my hours to 9-3 M-Thurs and I only go into the office one day a week. I have a nanny so she kinda my son but since I’m mostly home I get to hang with him too in between calls and projects but then at 3 I’m off the clock and can “mom” all night. The Friday-Sunday off is huge.
I love my job and I love being a mom more but I think balancing both makes me better at both.
If it gets too hard with two babies, I will leave, but I’m really thinking I can manage it with the nanny support.

I quit my job after 2 months of pregnancy, and have been staying home ever since. We are now have 2 kids and another on the way. 
I am so grateful to be able to be a homemaker and spend my time teaching my children and watching them grow! 
It gets a little lonely sometimes but I’m honestly super introverted so getting out of the house once a week is fine by me. And by getting out it’s usually the weekly errands (grocery shopping, bank, coffee)

I had to go back to work for the first couple years of my sons life. Then we moved to a cheaper place and my income was no longer necessary (plus child care costs were ridiculous) so once our second was born we decided it would be best for me to stay home. I’ve been home with them for about a year and a half and loving it

I am a stay at home mom and wouldn’t change it for the world. I think a lot of people think being a stay at home mom is easy and you can just be lazy all the time, but it is far from that. It is the hardest job I’ve ever had. Some days I think about going back to work just to get a break from moming for a few hours and get some adult interaction, but it really is rewarding. My husband and I could definitely use my salary if I had continued working, but we both felt strongly about me staying home to raise our kids, so we make it a priority even though money is tight with just one income.

If we didn't need my income, I'd still like to work part time because I enjoy having "adult time" and challenging myself and learning new things at work. But I definitely wouldnt be working full time if I didnt have to.

That’s what my husband and I are doing. I own my own company and used to do the full time office management for it. My husband convinced me to let someone else do the office managing so I can stay home with our daughter. I obviously still have to do things for the company here and there but I’m not super busy as I used to be 😊

makes more sense for me to stay home because of the insane cost of daycare. for the new baby coming and our toddler a center is easily 2k a month . what would be the point? sure she drives me insane some days and being pregnant with a toddler is exhausting but she’s safe. we had a bad incident with an in home care center . i’ll go back to work when they are both in school full time .
