How many times a day does your baby poop?

I have a vicious case of Crohn’s disease, and I’m worried my daughter might have inherited it. She’s 6 months old and it seems like she poops excessively everyday, with each dirty diaper being a blowout. I’ve mentioned it to her pedi, but I’m worried my concerns aren’t getting taken seriously.

Is baby on solids now? Do you breast feed or formula feed? Some babies just poop a lot and some don’t. I wouldn’t worry too much about CD until baby is a bit older. Pooping a lot could be diet related so it’s difficult to know for sure what’s causing it.

It really depends on if you breastfeed or bottle feed (formula). Babies should poop at least once every 24 hours and after 48 hour of not pooping contact her pediatrician.
