Progesterone Levels???

Hi, 
This cycle was my first cycle using Clomid. Yesterday I had my first positive ovulation test. My doctor said to call her office once I had a positive test so she could schedule a blood test for progesterone levels 1 week after my positive ovulation test. 
What does this tell them? Will it tell them if I’m pregnant or not?

When my doctor put me on Clomid I did blood work on cycle day 21 every month. The blood work included my progesterone level and a pregnancy test. So you just have to ask what they are looking for because it is possible they will check for pregnancy every month as well. Your progesterone will vary though and can’t say much about being pregnant or not. I did 50mg for 5 months with good progesterone levels every month and unfortunately never got pregnant. I have now been referred to a specialist. Best of luck to you!

Not necessarily. 7DPO is very early to test for pregnancy. They will likely just be confirming ovulation.
