Can being in a narcissistic relationship make you a narcissist?

Question

I feel so confused and emotionally unstable, he accuses me of doing the things to him that he clearly does to me but over time I’m starting to believe he’s actually right and all these problems are my fault. 2 of my ex best friends and my sister has yelled at me for the same things. Is it possible that I’m the real problem or am I just a target for bad relationships and manipulation?
Before anyone says anything, yes I’m making efforts to cut ties with him (again) and I have an appointment on Wednesday with a therapist.

I was taught, you become who you surround yourself with.. example, you’re a good person, no trouble with the law, clean slate but you start associating with bank robbers.. what’s going to happen? You’re going to eventually be influenced by them and do the same... you hang out with liars? You will be one. Alcoholics? Yep you will turn into one.. do you get what I’m saying? So if you surround yourself with a toxic person, you will become toxic yourself. I’ve learned this with my recent ex. He accused me of shit that he was actually doing etc. it was toxic. I believed I was the issue here when I’m not! You are what you surround yourself with hun. I hope therapy helps :)

Since there are no examples it’s hard to tell you. I believe everyone has a choice to be who they want and free to control their actions.
