Codeine?

A doctor recommended that I take codeine with paracetamol for my braxton hicks but literally everywhere I read online says that it’s not recommended in pregnancy so I’m confused because even the NHS website suggests not taking it when pregnant which is a reliable website that I trust and all the midwives and doctors recommend so idk

Do not take them I had them before I was pregnant for a pain and the side affects are just horrible , I wouldn’t recommend pregnant or not pregnant but at the back of the box it does say not recommended to women who are pregnant , I’m very confussed on why he has said to use them there codomol ( can’t spell it ) that my friend used when she was pregnant having braxton hicks she highly recommends them  ☺️

i would not recommend that at all, please find a new doctor. Or midwife even as midwifes know more in pregnancy. BH are normal unfortunately but if they hurt you should time them as they shouldn’t hurt only make you feel terribly bloated or uncomfortable
