Anyone have hubbys that work 3-11 shifts?

So my fiancé just got a new good paying job but hours are 3-11. And I’m due in April. Just worried about not having help with wanting to cook and doing home stuff. Anyone have experience with this?

I’m on my 3rd kid (4yrs, 2.5yrs, 29wks pregnant) and my husband travels for work EVERYweek. No family to help me. He’s gone 4 days/nights straight. I do it all (somehow).  It’s hard!!! But you’ll do what you need to. It’s survival and your strength will be amazing. You’ll find an arrangement that works once you get going.

We have a 5 year old and the next one coming late April, my hubby works in refinery maintenance so some months are slow some months are busy depends on the time of year. His shop schedule is 7-330 in town but there’s plenty of months where he’s gone. Last year he was gone for 3 months straight. (I only saw him because I drove to where he was and stayed with family on a couple days he had off). 2 years ago if you added all the days he was home from January 1st to December 31st of that year it equaled to maybe 2.5 months altogether the rest of the time he was out of town and out of the country even. You make it work it’s hard don’t get me wrong but working with a “non traditional” work schedule is just part of life. My best advice for the dinner side of things is meal prep, planning ahead of time and a slow cooker is your best friend.

My fiancé works 2pm-10pm. It’s tough sometimes with my 3 year old now, and I was a single mom for his entire infant hood😅. I’m definitely worried about night time routines adding a baby in. The good news is it just works out somehow.

My husband works nights 12 hour shifts. He gets 3 months paternity leave though so I'm hoping those night shifts will help with a newborn. 😊

My hubby works 2 jobs 7 days a week, the first shift is 7am-3:30pm & the second shift is from 5pm-10pm. Its definitely hard with 2 toddlers & another on the way but I've gotten them on a schedule. Luckily he will be getting paternity leave once baby #3 arrives but I know it won't last forever. My advice to you is to get some sort of schedule going once baby is here & things will become easier. Its hard but you'll get use to it!

My husband travels out of state for 14 days, is home for 5 days, then out for 14 again... this is our first baby and I’m definitely worried 😩

My fiancé works 5pm - 3am .. when our daughter was born it was 4pm - 2am but changed since then. It definitely takes a bit of getting used to with a baby and not having the afternoon help but honestly I’d rather have help in the mornings than nights. We get dinner made, eat, and snuggle, fall asleep, then daddy is home! Then I have his help all morning for grocery shopping alone, because who likes taking a baby grocery shopping .. although my daughters now a bit older and loves going so I do take her majority of the time 😂 I love the night shift muchhhhh better!
