For anyone who has depression/anxiety and has see a professional, have you ever taken one(or more) of these meds that you were prescribed ? How is your experience?

My psychiatrist prescribed me these 3 meds and I want to know if anyone has taken all or one of these and how their experience was.

Medications work differently for everyone FACT... Someone might not get on with one medication but will find another helps, some might get side effects, others won't. These kinds of questions always bother me because everyone is different and everyone's tolerance levels are different not to mention there are all different dosages to consider into the equation too.
Only one on that list I cannot take is citalopram, I hadn't taken it since 2016 and then last year was put on them again and had a horrible allergic reaction to them but I think that's down to what happened in 2016 and my body's way of protecting itself.

I have major depressive disorder and bipolar disorder. I was on lithium and that made me numb to everything. I had no emotion and I felt like a robot. Therapy was the only thing that helped me.

Trazadone made me feel like my brain was being taken over and I had no control over it. It was actually scary. Just my personal experience though. Citalopram made me feel like I didn't have control over my entire body, and I had a bad reaction to it. I was very sick, lost 5lbs in a few days. Lorazepam was the winner..I was taken a very small dose, but it helped a lot with no negative side effects. I never even had any bad side effects once coming off of them after a few years..and I haven't needed medication since.

I've never taken any, but my husband has tried everyone they have prescribed him. I can notice a difference but couldn't tell you which ones. Welbutrin seems to be a pretty good one for his anxiety and depression but all of the pills have effected our sex life. Wish you the best.

So I’ve been on a lot of tablets for my mental health Including anti-psychotics. I’ve also had citalopram. For me none of them worked but my partner takes citalopram daily and I can’t tell you how amazing the improvement is. He can now get on with his life and he’s so happy
