Trying to breastfeed

I want to try and breastfeed my baby after birth, but I’m aware my milk won’t come in until a couple days after having him but my breast will produce colostrum. I’m afraid once the baby latches there won’t be enough colostrum to full him up if that makes sense.

I have two friends who went into labor and they wanted to breastfeed but after those two hard nights of having a fussy crying baby they quickly switched to formula. I know I’ll have a lactation consultant but i just want to hear people’s experience and journey in breasting after birth with little milk to give Those first few nights after having a baby is when people get discouraged on breastfeeding.

And yes I’m aware fed is best but i just want to try and breastfeed
