Birth control pill

So I just started taking the pill after having my first son 4 weeks ago. It’s been about a week and I’m spotting every day now. How long did this last for you, if you had breakthrough bleeding? This happened with my first son when I started taking the pill and lasted almost 2 months so I just stopped and my cycle went to normal. I don’t want it to last this long. I hate wearing panty liner every day. And yes I take it on time every single day. I’ve always been 100% on top of taking pills and schedules. Ugh. I hate birth control but I’m not trying to get pregnant again until at least 3 more years.
