How does induction work?

Anyone knows? What is the first step for induction?

Each induction is different. My last pregnancy they inserted a foley bulb behind my cervix to dilate it. The bulb fell out ince I was about 4-5cm. They also started me on pitocin. Once my the membranes ruptured my body advanced quickly and I didn't really need the pitocin anymore.

Depends on the dr and pregnancy. Mine started with a vaginal medicine. Then they put in the balloon, then more meds through IV. This time my dr said she thinks the vagina meds will be enough and she’ll start with that.

Go to the hospital. 
Usually, it’s Cervadil first that they put in the IV. Baby goes on the monitor. 
Then, if the Cervadil doesn’t take after so long, they do Pitocin. 
The rest is kind of up in the air.
