Feb 17th Baby Turned Into Feb 4th!

I lost my mucus plug today around 11am, started having semi mild contractions that weren't consistent. I took a warm bath and they sorta stopped. I started doing some light cleaning and they came back (mild again) about every 9-10 mins for a few hrs. Then they started coming every 5-7 mins, but no more intense than they'd been previously. I drank some water, changed laid down, changed positions and they kept coming every 5-7 mins. Just to be on the safe side I went ahead and drove myself to the hospital while my husband was picking our 2yr old up from daycare to get checked just to be sure. As soon as I pulled up to the hospital my water broke, water gushing everywhere in my car. 🤦🏽‍♀️ They wheeled me in L&D so they could check me and I was already 7 cm dilated. At that point my contractions started getting more intense. They went ahead and put me in a room, gave me an iv and I asked for the epidural asap. When they checked me again 20 mins later I was already 9cm dilated so it was too late. My husband was speeding trying to make it and he literally made it on the very last push. I had my baby 45 mins from the time I pulled up to valet at the hospital. It was the most intense pain I've ever felt, and I ripped pretty bad. I'm so glad to not be pregnant anymore and baby and I are doing great! Good luck to all of you still fighting the good fight!
