Kinda annoyed..

I went for a doctor appointment because I have serious anxiety and need reassurance that my baby is ok. I’m 14 weeks. Doctor said she could check as she has a Doppler but didn’t want to because it’s too early and she can’t see the position of baby, hence might not be able to find a heartbeat. I agreed and said yeah it would stress me out if she couldn’t find it. She said after 19 weeks she usually uses the Doppler for patients. So I ended up having the appointment for no reason.

Is this practice correct? Should I have requested that she still use the doppler anyway?
