My husbands family doesn’t live locally. They are very nice and we have no issues or drama, but awkward we see them once a year and I do not talk to them otherwise. My husband has lived in our state for a decade and they’ve visited 3 times and only because I insisted on it before we got married.

Anyways, I am not comfortable with visitors when I am in the hospital and quite frankly also do not want to be hosting out of town guests who I have no relationship with immediately after giving birth. I want my husband to be clear with them now what the expectation is afterwards as far as visitors go without hurting anyone’s feelings.

How long can I keep them away?
