Birth control after pregnancy

Hi ladies! I’m looking for some opinions. I’m almost 4 weeks postpartum and my SO and I have been discussing birth control options until we’re ready for a second child.

We’ve kind of hit a wall. Neither of us like condoms. Birth control pills give me insane mood swings. I’m starting to consider an IUD. I have an appointment early next week for my first postpartum visit and will discuss more with my OB.

I’m just curious what birth control option you ladies decided on after pregnancy and what your deciding factors for it were. And if any of you chose IUD, how has your experience with it been?
