So a friend of mine since pre school got arrested in November for assaulting her mom by throwing glass plates at her, she got arrested for 3rd degree battery. She was in jail for 2 weeks. She got out and her mom put a restraining order against her because this wasn’t the first time he assaulted her. She became homeless and now is staying at a homeless shelter and working. Anyways, 2 days ago was her court date and she didn’t show up so her mom texted my other friend and I to tell us that If she doesn’t show up, she will have a warrant out for her arrest. So at work I called the homeless shelter she was staying at and I called her work, called her, texted her etc. She never answered. I got a text today saying that she turned herself in and she got released from the judge.

I told her that I need a break from our friendship right now because it is causing me so much anxiety and stress to deal with these legal issues and trying to help her not get into more trouble. I sent her a message and then these are the messages I got back:
