Went to the er last night due to sharp pains in one side and bleeding, the bleeding had only happened once at the time when I wiped which prompted me to go to the er. They did an ultrasound which showed a heartbeat and measuring at 6 weeks which is accurate and also showed something called a hypoechoic foci adjacent to the gestational sac. My hcg levels also came back at the right levels for how many weeks I am. The er doctor discharged me with threatened miscarriage and suggested I get more bloodwork to check to make sure my hcg levels are still rising. Talk to my obgyn today and went over the findings with her and she said that the subchorionic hemorrage was due to low progesterone levels and prescribed me some progesterone pills to take and suggested to take it easy until my next appointment in 2 weeks. She also mentioned that since a heartbeat was detected that hcg levels aren’t necessarily a good indicator of a pregnancy progressing properly at this point so I don’t need to come in for bloodwork. Its been 24hrs since the first bleed happened and now it’s happening again. It’s my first pregnancy so I’m paranoid that I’m going to miscarry. I’ll by calling my obgyn first thing in the morning but has anyone else ever dealt with something like this and what was the outcome?
