When to tell work about your pregnancy?

I am 12 weeks today and go to my Doc tomorrow, but I can't decide when I should tell work. I work at a corporate job, so the sooner would be better, but I previoehas a mc in the past so I am nervous for the my co-workers to know. Any advice would be appreciated.

I actually told my boss the day we found out! We are a super close group in my office and everyone knew we were trying. Plus I knew that if I did have a miscarriage they would be an awesome support system as most of them are moms too.

I'm personally waiting until I hear the heartbeat. That will probably be at my next appointment, which is at 15 weeks.  I've had women around me miscarry. I've never been pregnant before, and I don't know how I'd deal if I did. I'd like the choice to not have everyone at work know, in case I really don't want to talk about it. I'm really close with my co-workers so I feel kind of guilty for keeping the secret. But in the end it's OUR secret to keep and share when we're ready. Maybe it's selfish of me, but work will just have to figure it out if they find my family planning inconvenient.

I had a loss at 17 weeks last year, so this time I told my boss quite early which was useful in the end as I have had quite a few extra appointments. I haven't told come workers yet, and trying to hold off until we hit 17 weeks but not sure if it may start to be obvious before then.

I’ve only told my hr because my dr ordered me off for a few days due to some bleeding. Hr had to tell my supervisors and I’ve told my line lead (he’s my first boss then the supervisors) mainly so he’d be cool with me walking away from the cell to use the restroom (I have to ask him if I can go or not as the cell has to run no matter what so we hit our numbers of parts needed for the night) but other than that they’ll find out when I’m showing 😂

I’m probably going to tell after my first OB Appointment in Monday. I’ll be 12+4. I would’ve waited longer but I’m really starting to show already and we have so many projects going on with big deliverables in the fall and we will need to start figuring out who else to add to my teams.

I told my boss at 13 weeks, but it’s bc I’m a department director and we really need to plan for my absence. I say it depends on how much planning is needed for you to be out. I would consider that, and just be sure you don’t share the news until ultimately YOU want to.

I will tell them after my next appointment on the 21st of this month. I was going to tell my boss after my last appointment, but everyone in our office are gossipers and I knew I couldn't tell her in confidence without it getting around.

Gosh I don’t know... the company is doing pretty bad right now and my due date is a month before the biggest convention in the country and I am managing my department.... I need to tell them soon. Especially cause you are obligated to stop working 6 weeks before your due date here... that will be the end of June already!
They can’t fire me for it but I still feel terrible... the timing is just awful. Last time around I couldn’t keep it hidden for long cause I was throwing up 24/7 and it was okay cause the company was doing fine. But I got pregnant again before my daughter even turned a year old 😩
