Gimmie your best dairy free alternatives to things

CW

So I'm lactose intolerant. Always have been, but I also love cheese and cream and all those glorious things. Who doesn't? Well, as I'm getting older I'm noticing my body is tolerating (if you can even call it that) dairy less and less well.

If you have any suggestions for replacements for things like heavy whipping cream, cheeses, ect for literally anything please comment. You're helping my idiot self and probably someone else on the lactose struggle bus. Thanks!

I'm especially interested in replacments that don't have a strong taste, like soy/almond. Like I don't want put coconut milk in my savory soup recipe for example.

You should be able to buy lactose free cheese, milk, sour cream, cream cheese, ice cream, butter, etc at a local grocery store at least that’s what I do and I also love vanilla almond milk to drink instead of regular milk.

i have a dairy allergy so i feel you lolheavy whipping cream: you can find recipes online. some use beans, soy, or coconut, etc. sour cream: tofutticheese: i like violife and miyoko'sice cream: oatly milk: oatly or soy cream cheese: diy cashew based cream cheese, or trader joe's brand butter: earth balance whipped cream: sodelicious if you're lactose intolerant you can use regular heavy whipping cream. it's pretty much just fat.
