What should I expect first day on Zoloft ?

I might be taking Zoloft soon I’m just too scared. I’ve never tried anything before. Never drank before etc... I’m 28. New mom. 
Terrified of side effects.

I was on zoloft for a month. It was terrible for me. I couldn’t eat, couldn’t sleep, more agitated and on edge than usual. More sensitive to loud noises. I would space unintentionally space out in the middle of a conversation. Made thoughts race through my head. It was just so bad for me but everyone is different, so good luck!

My wife said it made her feel worse the first week or two but now she can’t go without it and it helped her a lot. So if you do feel bad on it for a while give it time first. Unless it’s really bad then go back to the doctor and ask for something different.

I’ve been on Zoloft for 18 years.  It’s the only thing that works for me without crazy side effects.  It can take 2-3 weeks before you adjust to it.

I take Zoloft, I’ve always taken it at night before bed so I can’t say if it made me more tired or not, however for about 2-3 weeks I had constant dry mouth and no appetite￼

It doesn’t take full effect for 6 weeks. You won’t feel anything when you take it, as far as like a high or being loopy.

I am 25 weeks and just started taking Zoloft, with magnesium and vitamin b6. The combo of these has me feel great so far (just a tad sleepy). It definitely has taken the anxiety/ speeding heart rate away.

My side effects were super mild (just dizzy and real low appetite) and only lasted a few days. I wasn’t working yet so it didn’t matter, but I would take a week off of work if you can. The side effects were definitely worth the pay off for me, but everyone reacts to medication differently. It may not be the one for you, or it could work great.

My first two weeks I had a constant headache and low appetite and a stomach ache. After 2 weeks it was gone. If you feel more sad or start to feel suicidal stop the meds immediately and call your doc.
