Dry skin and baby acne?

My 8 week old babe has had baby acne for about 2 weeks or so. It hasn’t seemed to get better, & I haven’t been putting lotion on it, as everywhere I read, it said just to wash baby’s face everyday, I’ve tried breastmilk, & it didn’t help. Her face is now dry and you can seen the dead skin. What should I do? Would coconut oil be a safe option?

Same thing happened to my baby so every morning I wipe her face with a washcloth of warm water then lightly press aquaphor for babies into her skin. Went away in a day! Still doing this every morning and it hasn’t come back.

I’ve used a very thin layer of vaseline on my baby’s dry face in the mornings and it helps a lot. Everything I read suggested that or coconut oil. (I’d have used coconut oil but my husband loathes coconut. RIP)

My 7 week old has had baby acne on & off since birth as well as dry skin. I clean his face and put cerave baby healing ointment daily. It helps a lot with the dry skin.

My baby went through the same thing.  Just tried to keep her face clean with a warm wash cloth but breast milk didn’t seem to help here either and it probably took about 2 weeks to fully clear up
