From personal experience, pink spotting is usually fine. But consult your OB. Could be from a sensitive cervix or maybe your placenta is lying low. I had spotting last week but passed a bright red small clot. But thankfully that was it. Made an appt next day. Found out I have Partial Placenta Previa and I’m On Pelvic Rest. But my DR said if you have dark bright red bleeding bigger than a quarter to go to Labor and Delivery. I have spotted light pink like this 3 more times since last week. Freaks me out. My anatomy scan can’t come soon enough (Feb 25th) to see if my placenta has moved up. I’m 19 wks.

I’d call your OB first. If they can see you it will save you the ER ordeal. I had to go to ER for spotting at 12 weeks (it was a weekend so I had nowhere else) and it was a lot worse than that. There was more of it and it was bright red. Everything turned out to be just fine but the ER doctor still told me I had a 50% chance of misscarrying even tho the ultrasound showed a healthy baby and the bleeding had stopped. I was in tears for a day. Saw my OB on Monday and she said ER doctors don’t know anything really about the likelihood of miscarriage in certain situations and put me at ease.
