Curly girl for loose waves 🌊

I’ve always had a slight wave to my hair, but into adulthood my waves turn to poof and frizz and I always needed to straighten or curl with heat.

Three years ago I took an oath to stop dying my hair and since then it’s been cut into a bob and grown out twice, but the poof never went away.

Recently, I stumbled upon the curly girl method and realized I had been doing everything wrong for my hair, like, for my whole life. lol. I’m two weeks into my curly girl journey and this is what my hair looks like! I WISH I had taken a before, but I honestly didn’t think it would work.

This is washing and air drying, no heat, not even products. I have some breakage and am in need of a trim. I’m really happy for now though. If you ever think you can’t do curly girl because your hair is just wavy, you’re wrong. Try it! ♥️
