Okay to wear pad, not on period?

I’m about to go on a 5 hour flight and I’m irregular but am supposed to start soon. Last time I flew my period came mid flight, and I bled through my pants... is it okay to wear a pad just incase even though I haven’t started yet? I’m terrified it’ll happen again lol

Don’t do it with a tampon, but pads are absolutely fine to wear whenever you want. Tons of women wear them just for bladder leakage all the time.

You can do whatever you want. It’s your body. But I would encourage the pad so you don’t have any accidents

Yes absolutely. 
I wear panty liners daily for medical reasons. If wearing a pad makes you feel more comfortable, do it.
