Nexplanon & Periods

I got the implant on February 1st and later that night started my period even though it wasnt due for another week. I usually have a consistant period (every 28 days for 2 days of bleeding and 1 of spotting) but ive been on it for a week and counting and ive also been getting cramps which almost never happens. Is this a bad thing? Im not sure if it has to do with the bc or not? Im just overall confused on how to handle this. Any insight?
