Baby falls asleep while feeding. Do you still try to burp or put them down to sleep?

I lean back and lay baby on my chest to burp. You don’t want to lie you little one down and have them spit up. They can aspirate.

I think it depends on your kid.  If they’re a spitter or super gassy, I would wake them.  If not and they’re not easily put back to sleep, I’d let them sleep.

I make sure to burp my baby. Half the time (when she doesn’t fall asleep during her bottle) she falls asleep while I’m burping her. She likes being patted on the back so it doesn’t wake her one bit. She gets way too gassy otherwise and will spit up sometimes if I don’t burp her.

I still try for a little while. My little one spits up a lot so I’ll hold her upright for at least 15/20 mins after eating trying to get her to burp and then will lay her down.

Mostly yes I try to scooch him up and get a burp out but it all depends on how little feeds. Sometimes he doesnt need it  others I can tell when hes gotten alot of air in his tummy by how he nursed.
