Experience with cervidil ?

I’m getting induced at 39 weeks using Cervidil. Has anyone’s doctor used cervidil to induce your labor and what was the experience like ?

I was induced and they used Cervidil on me when i was first admitted. It felt like a hard, plastic, ridgy tampon sized thing they inserted. Slightly uncomfortable going in. Then I slept that night. They checked me in the morning for progress  and then started me on pitocin. They then broke my water almost at the same time which sling shot me into dilating. It was intense and happening very quickly. They ended up turning down the pitocin which was an effing relief! I went into the hospital with 0 dilation. After the pitocin and water break I think I dilated from nothing to 4cm in less than an hr. After that I got the epidural because that shit was INTENSE! But not unbearable. The epidural was the BEST decision! I then was able to slow it down, and use this peanut ball they had there to help open me up and allow baby to get down into position. I checked in at 6pm on a Wednesday and my baby was born 24hrs later.

I was induced using Cervidil at 39 weeks as well! It kind of felt like a dull numbing pain. I was 1 cm dialated already. It was inserted at 10:30 PM. I started feeling contractions around 2 AM (I was having them earlier just couldn’t feel them) and then my water broke at 4 AM. They started Pitocin at 10 AM, got an epidural at 1 PM, was fully dilated at 6 PM and baby was born at 8 PM! Hope it goes well for you!
