When do you personally start to test?

I’m 3dpo and trying to help pass the time. Just curious on how early others began to test and got their BFP? **ive been pregnant before, ended in a miscarriage so I know 3dpo is to early but some of us are impatient and do it anyway. No snarky comments please***

I’ve been pregnant 4 times (2 losses) and I tested once each time when my period was late by 2 days.

Save yourself the unnecessary disappointment and wait until 10-12dpo.

I got mine at 9dpo, which is about the earliest you could possibly see something if you actually ovulated when you think you did. I knew when I ovulated Bc I can feel it every month. I get ovulation cramps. It takes about 6 days for your egg to move downs and implant into the uterine wall. From there, it takes a bare minimum of 3 days for your hcg levels to rise enough for an hpt to pick up on. 🤷🏼‍♀️ If your ovulation is off by a day or two from when it’s predicted, obviously this calculation would be a little different.

The earliest I've ever been able to get a positive is 12 dpo. We're not having more kids, but if we were to try again, I would save myself time and tests by not testing until 12 dpo or later. Much better than to deal with seeing bfns all the time.

I waited until the first day of my period (predicted) until we did ivf. That cycle I tested 8 days post transfer, which is similar to 13 dpo. I wouldn’t have trusted a positive earlier than that (for chemicals) and negatives were inconclusive.

On average, implantation happens 8-10dpo. It can happen earlier but it’s less likely. So I have always waited closer to 10 dpo. 8 being the average day for implantation and then 2 days after for HCG to double. This, however, is all a guess because it’s hard to know when you’ve medically ovulated.
