Pimple, boil, staph?

This is on my 2 year olds arm pit. It looks like a pimple but could if be something else? (Taking her to the doctor Monday).

My 3.5 year old has these all over his body. Typically in his armpits, upper thighs and some on his upper back. His doctor told us he will probably grow out of them within the year and you can put a topical cream on it although its not needed. They at least look the same to me! Hope you get it figured out. My biggest issue is not being able to get him to stop picking at them.
