Totally normal. Don't give it much attention it's just a phase. I would just put a teether in my LO's hands and sometimes it would work, sometimes it wouldn't. It only lasted a couple months and he's never done it since.

Our dentist says it's totally normal. They do that to get all the sharp edges away and usually stop as soon as it's done. Not harmful or anything. They just should not clench really hard which they don't do in most cases. My son did it with all his teeth when they were coming in and it stopped when they were even

My son was doing the same thing once he had both his top and bottom teeth around the same age. We would stop him when we would hear him doing it, and it only lasted about a week or two.
