I only breastfeed no bottles - should I offer one?

Little one is 8 weeks 
I’ve seen mixed reviews on this 
I want to breastfeed as long as possible 
Someone told me to try a bottle every couple of days for 1 feed or a bit of a feed so she’s used to a bottle but I’m so worried she then won’t want boob and then our journey is done 
I’m worried if I don’t offer a bottle and say my sisters wedding in July I may offer bottles as she will be 7 months so would of been weaning but what if she rejects a bottle 
I don’t want her to reject the bottle but some people have never offered a bottle and then other people wished they did as baby rejected it 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

I breastfeed my daughter and as soon as we got out of the hospital I started to pump or get the let down from my haaka. I used that milk at night time so my husband was able to give her a bottle after work and bond with her. 
She never was confused between the boobies, Bottles and the pacifier. 
16months after she is still breastfed haha.

-slow flow nipple
-pace bottle feed
-let someone other than you give the bottle
My babies take bottles because I work. I nursed my first until she was two and plan to do the same with this one

Every baby is different and each pediatrician and lactation consultant recommend something different. We introduced a bottle at 3 weeks because I knew I was going back to work after 6 weeks. My son has no issues going back and forth between breast feeding and bottles. My personal opinion is to try introducing a bottle sooner rather than later. We did one bottle feeding at least every other day for the first 4 months. 
My lactation consultant recommended introducing a bottle between 3-5 weeks old and finding a bottle with nipples that are as close to mine as possible. I don’t know if that is why it worked for our son or if he’s just an easy baby. 
I would love to be with my son all the time but I know I can’t so I’m glad he will take a bottle. My husband also really likes that he can feed him and give me the chance to rest or grab a shower or a cup of coffee with a friend.

8 weeks is perfect time to introduce baby is a little pro at breastfeeding  and got the hang of it and your supply is doing well I'd offer it just because I like me time and I go out with other mom friends for grown up dates and it would not be possible if baby did not take a bottle

I also was told to introduce bottle randomly so they’re used to it when they need it. We were told to just give 1 ounce after breastfeed once a week starting a 2 months. I’m back to work now at 4 months and he’s has no issues going from breastfeeding when I’m home to bottles when I’m At work. He’s also had a pacifier since the hospital and is breastfeeding great!

You can wait until 6 months and offer a bottle. I would never recommend offering a bottle while ebf as they can go off the boob then and it will ruin your breastfeeding x

Hello. It’s the other way round. Babies ideally shouldn’t have a bottle before about 6-8 weeks as it can effect breastfeeding negatively. After this a baby should be able to take a bottle at any time (so trying shortly before your sisters wedding should be fine) although you may have to try a few brands and a small number of babies always refuse a bottle but it’s unusual. By nearly 7 months an occasional bottle shouldn’t effect breastfeeding. The other issue you might be referring to is that from the breast is better than the bottle as it’s tailored to what the baby needs that feed so it’s recommended that bottles are only offered occasionally if possible. My baby is 10 weeks, ebf and has not had a bottle or a pacifier. 
I had to express small amounts of milk and used a syringe rather than offer a bottle.

My baby started off on the bottle due to medications I had to receive after giving birth with complications. Then when I got home I started exclusively breastfeeding. Started giving him a bottle and he did great. Now he’s almost 8 weeks old and doesn’t really want anything to do with a bottle anymore. I’m fine with it however I have a lot of health issues that is going to cause me not to be able to breastfeed for up to 24 hours with some of the procedures I’m going to have to have. Taking it one day at a time.

My baby had bottle on day three and has had at least one per day since. I had to go back to work after twelve weeks. She’s still breastfeeding 9months later. She has never had a problem switching between bottle n breast. It’s personal preference. Good luck
