Chemical Pregnancy?

I was a week late for my period so took a test (top test). There was a faint second line so I waited two days and tested again, (bottom test) and there’s still a second line only fainter than the first test. Two days later my period came and much heavier than usual. And now the test is a definitive negative. Could this have been a chemical pregnancy?

If so, can I try again as usual this cycle?
