Positive progesterone test?

Reposting and rephrasing this because many voted no and probably because they thought I was talking about a pregnancy test. But I’ve been using PROOV test strips to check my progesterone after ovulation. They tell you not to test until 3-5 dpo but I tested day 1-3 anyway and been getting positives. My question is if it’s possible to get a positive for progesterone levels so early after ovulation?

I believe you should actually be testing 6-8DPO because that’s when progesterone is at its peak.

I never have gotten positives that early myself (earliest for me was 4-5 dpo) but I follow the Proov Facebook group and I'm pretty sure I've seen people get positives that early lol.

I think you can get a positive progesterone test at ovulation (if you ovulated) but the reason you test progesterone is to see if you can carry a pregnancy which means having high enough levels a week or so after ovulation. It starts dropping back down after the peak (7-10DPO)  unless there is an implanted egg/sperm.
