Contractions, when to call?

Hey guys,
So how long do you let it go before uou start to consider its time to make a call?

I am at the doctor and just asked her this question. She said to go pee, drink water, and lay down. If they don’t go away or they start to get more painful, then to call

If you’re not close to your due date I would call no matter what. Don’t want to risk being in preterm labor and not know it.

My doctor said 4 contractions in an hour you need to go into labor and delivery.

So I live about 35-40 min away from the hospital of my choice and yesterday my dr said to wait until they are 5 min apart. 🙀 It’s my second and that seems so close together. But it is what it is I guess.
