I was originally due on 2/15/20; however, due to having Gestational Diabetes, I had a scheduled repeat c-section at 39 weeks on 2/11/20! We arrived at the hospital at 7:30 this morning for the procedure to begin 9:30! We got here, got prepped and that 2 hours absolutely flew by. Once back in the OR, I was given an epidural and prepped for surgery. Our baby girl was born within 10 minutes of the surgery starting at exactly 10:20 am, but it took about an hour for them to close me back up afterwards- I had extra scar tissue from my previous c-section and some excessive bleeding on one side of my uterus which resulted in the small delay, BUT all is well and both mommy and baby are healthy and doing great!
