Is this rude?

I work in healthcare and I had two patients ask if I was pregnant today. I’m just starting to show at 25 weeks so it’s not like I’m huge yet but I feel like it’s kinda rude to ask people that. What if I wasn’t pregnant and just a little heavier? And am I going to have to deal with this the rest of pregnancy if it’s starting already?! Ugh people should keep their comments to themselves. Now I’m self conscious

I work with children. They didn’t know I was pregnant yet. and my co worker slipped that I was pregnant. The kids were relieved because they said they thought I was just getting fat. 😂

i don’t think it’s rude. maybe they were admiring or even jealous of your little bump. a lot of the time people don’t mean to come off rude. tour bound to get many questions and possibly even people trying to touch you at some point.

I don’t think that approach is rude. They might have just wanted to congratulate you but wanted to make sure before they said anything. If they were like “you’re huge!” Then that’s rude. There’s no reason to be self conscious of your belly, you’re growing an entire human being, it’s going to stick out.

Yes, you’ll definitely deal with it the rest of your pregnancy. You may hear things like “you’re so big!” Or “are you sure there’s not two in there?!” Idk why people can be such asses, but it happens. But you’ll also get sweet women in who say things like “you’re glowing” or “pregnancy looks great on you!” Or tell you you’re beautiful. Just try to let the dumb comments roll off your shoulders. I do think pregnancy weight looks different than gaining weight, and when you’ve been pregnant you can tell it on other women.

Let the public commenting begin!  And continue until the end....and beyond about your parenting practices.  In my experience, most people can't help themselves and it is largely because they are excited.  I think they usually don't intend to be rude or nosy.  I guess it is more of a recent thing that pregnant ladies have been more vocal about not appreciating some comments.  Seems like most folks, typically older ones, feel free to comment without a filter.  I haven't figured out how to inform them that I'm not really interested in talking to strangers about the shape of my body.

I don't find them asking if/when I'm gonna have a baby, but yesterday, one lady asked if I was gonna go soon cuz I look huge 🙄🙄🤔 lady. I've got three more months ya cunt 😂

I went to walmart when I was about 15 weeks. There was this man who was working for the portrait place inside so he was standing near the checkout lanes trying to sell photo shoots. He stops me and says "oh looks like you may be needing some maternity pics before long". Granted I'm on the heavier side and I wouldnt say I had a baby bump at that time. I was also wearing a coat. Usually I'm not one to not say stuff back and bitch someone out but I was in complete shock.

I had a resident today say "wow, you look pregnant "🙄 well yeah that would be because I am. I agree it's annoying but just something I've just learned to deal with.
