I was in pre-term labor at 33 weeks, dilated 1cm 80% effaced. They stopped it and then it started again yesterday at 35 weeks +1 where I was 3cm dilated and 80% effaced, baby’s head in the zero station. My contractions were painful, I had to breathe through them, some put me in tears. But my cervix stopped dilating so they sent me home with Procardia and told me to call if anything felt like it was progressing.

I know dark blood from all my cervix checks is normal, not worried about that.

But I went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a LOT of mucus plug. Then as I’ve gone two more times since, there’s been bits here and there.

So my question basically is, should I be calling my OB to let them know my mucus plug has come out or should I just wait until my next appointment?
