How long did your period like cramps last before you went into real labor? Sorry FTM

Never. My “cramps” were contractions right away - they were every 7-8 min apart at first and it took about about an hour for them to become 5 min or less apart.

I had period like cramps for a couple days (mainly at night) before I went into labor. FTM here too.

Honestly I never had contractions that came and went noticeably. I woke up with period like cramps that never went away. Just got more and more intense. Waiting on baby 2 so it could be different but just know it may feel like they don’t go away just get worse. 
Eventually when you can’t talk through them is when you know for sure you should call the doc

I'm also a FTM and I have been having period like cramps on and off for the past two weeks but still no sign of the baby.

4 weeks with my first, 3 weeks with my second. I’m due with my third and waking up with full blown contractions for a week now that fizzle our after an hour.
