Flu shot?

24 weeks pregnant and a first time mom and I’m not sure about getting the flu shot? I’ve heard stories about miscarriages and stories about the baby and mama being fine... I asked my doctor and he says it’s a good idea but I’m still not too sure. Any advice?

In my opinion, it’s better to be safe than sorry. My doctor recommended the flu shot (especially with all the flus/sickness going around) so I got it to make sure my baby didn’t risk getting ill. I have not gotten sick at all since then and my baby is growing healthily and happily. Best of luck xo

I’ve had it with both my pregnancies I’m also asthmatic so have it every year pregnant or not. 
It’s never caused any problems for me x

I got mind when I was about 7 weeks. No issues! Safer for baby than getting the flu.

I’ve never heard of the flu shot causing a miscarriage. But it is late in the season, so I wouldn’t bother. I had it with both pregnancies and were fine and alive

Flu shot is always a good idea! there’s been no actual linkage between flu shots and miscarriage

Im the “Do what the OB or Dr suggests” type and I got my flu shot around 14 weeks, in October. My 2 year old daughter had hers the day after me, no problems for either of us (for 3 years in a row now) 😊

I chose not to get it to avoid exposing my baby to the ingredients (formaldehyde, Mercury in some, MSG, etc). The flu shot has also never been studied in pregnant women and that was a concern to me. My personal opinion is that it’s not effective enough this year to bother with it, plus it’s late in the season

Honestly flu season is basically over. If you were to get the flu shot, it should have been like back in October so it has time to grow your immunity...

Just get the shot.  The flu is more dangerous to your baby than the flu shot is.

Its is a good idea and completely safe to get the flu shot and the T dap shot while pregnant, i already had my flu shot and im getting the t dap soon.
