Is Implantation Bleeding Real?

I’m reading in a lot of forums that it’s an extremely rare occurrence. Has anyone experienced it and had a BFP? The hubby and I just had a morning sesh and I’m 12 DPO and now I’m having bright pink discharge. My period is due in 2 days. I always tell myself when I see pink it’s probably implantation, but after 1.5 years of trying I know I’m lying to myself because AF comes at full speed. Has anyone experienced IB and had a BFP? Just asking at this point for hope.
