Im 34 weeks and 3 days today with B/G twins. I went to my MFM appt yesterday and they saw elevated Dopplers on my little girl again and I’m still in the 8th % for growth on my little boy and she is at the 12th% for growth.

Today I had my regular OB appt and when I got there I was so swollen in my legs and feet that my toes were purple and my BP was elevated. When the attending came in, she said she checked my notes from the MFM appt the day prior and with that and the fact that she thinks I am developing Preeclampsia, that she was calling the hospital next door to get me a room and possibly deliver in the next 24-48 hours. We waited for a room and then they told me that we could go home to grab my things and the room would be ready when we came back.

We get halfway home and the doctors from the hospital called. They said that we would be delivering for sure, so to make sure I grabbed everything that I needed and when I got back to go straight to L&D for my room.

I’m all hooked up now and they’ve seen a few high BP’s so far and have taken my labs for Preeclampsia work up to make sure it doesn’t develop too quickly. While I’m here, they will continue to watch my vitals and babies and check labs. They came in before drawing the labs and said that they went ahead and scheduled my C Section for tomorrow at 1:30pm.

VALENTINES DAY!

I am so nervous and so excited all at the same time. I know they’re still little, so that is worrisome, but they have a great NICU team that will be handling both babies and I’m excited to meet my little ones tomorrow. As long as things stay stable throughout the night, we will be delivering them tomorrow morning. Until then, I’m going to try to get as much sleep as I can tonight with all the monitors and nurses in and out, bc tomorrow is D-Day on V-Day, where I will get to say happy B-Day (I know that’s totally cheesy by the way, 😂)!
