Baby spontaneously waking up crying?

My LO is 8 weeks tomorrow and cries very little overall, mainly when hungry or wet. However, over the past couple days, he’ll spontaneously wake up from napping and just cry loudly! Honestly, it almost seems like he had a nightmare and woke up scared? But that also seems unrealistic. He settles down very quickly and he’s otherwise acting the same as normal, so they’re very brief events. And it’s not every time he wakes up.

Is this normal? Anyone else’s kiddo doing this?
