What seat?

I’m installing my car seat and I’m wondering if I should put it behind the drivers seat or passenger seat. I know it’s a stupid question but this is my friend baby and I don’t know which one is better. I have a Kia Soul

For infants the middle seat is the best and safest place to install the carseat.

It’s a preference, but for infants, I put behind driver side, so I can see her through my rear view mirror through her mirror, and also my seat never reclines or repositions so it fits her perfectly. Also, the ease of putting her in and jumping to driver side. However, my toddler, I put on my passenger back so I can look back and hand her stuff if needed.

It is not a preference. You install car seats according to the manufacturers guidelines for your individual vehicle. Grab a vehicle owner manual for your exact vehicle and it will have instructions.

Middle is best but I couldn’t get my car seat safely in the middle of my car so I chose behind passenger seat. When #2 arrives he/she will stay behind passenger and my daughter will go behind driver

Behind the side closest to the curb depending on where you live.   It’s the safest so when parking on street etc, they are closest to nature strip for Safety reasons

Middle seat is safest but if you’re using a latch system you’d need to be sure your car has it in the middle seat. If it does not, then I THINK the driver side. It might also say it in your car manual!
