Is it inappropriate to leave the price tag on a gift?

I've received gifts with the price tag on and I think it's inappropriate, especially if the other person is more fortunate than you.

I have always assume it was an oversight while wrapping. I’ve never considered it in terms of appropriateness. As long as the person wasn’t obnoxious about pointing it out or something, I wouldn’t think of again.  🤷🏼‍♀️

No... Its tacky, I guess, but I wouldn't call it inappropriate. I mean, you could just be grateful someone was thoughtful enough to give you a gift.🤷‍♀️

I always leave the tags on but either cut off the price part or black it out.  If someone left the price on I would assume it was by accident.

I think it’s unnecessary and distasteful. 🤷🏻‍♀️ If I’m worried that the person might not like it or the item might not fit, I will give them the receipt to exchange it though.

The only time I see people caring is if they don't think 'enough' was spent on them. I don't care if a price tag is left, I appreciate what I was given no matter the cost.

I really don’t care. If it’s a tag I’ll pull it off, but if it’s on a sticker or the box, I leave it. 
If someone is that concerned about the price they can just look the item up either way

I make sure to remove it when I buy gifts but I'm not gonna hate on somebody who doesnt. They could have simply forgotten it. It's not that deep
