Thickened endometrial lining & PCOS

I went to my OB GYN can a transvaginal ultrasound and said my endometrial lining was thick. The only suggestion he gave was to do a DNC one I've never been put to sleep before into I'm not comfortable with the procedure due to scar tissue and scarring. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤔 Is there anything else you can do for a thickened endometrial lining? Been trying to conceive for 5 years no luck. Any thoughts, tips, experiences would be appreciated 😔 God bless
