When does your Dr check if you are have dilate?

Im how many weeks does your doctor starts checking for Dilation?

Mine checked my cervix at my last appointment. I was 31 weeks.

36 weeks she asks if I want to be checked. I’m opting out that early with this pregnancy. It’s completely unnecessary(obviously unless u have issues).

Some doctors are different. Some start at 36 mine starts at 38 so you just have to ask your specific doctor when they do it.

I'm 33 weeks and my doctor won't be checking me until I'm in active labor at the hospital.  Cervical checks aren't a true indicator of labor-you can be dilated at a 2, or even 4, for weeks without starting labor.

I’m pretty sure mine doesn’t start until 37 weeks. But checks aren’t really necessary. Dilation isn’t really a good indicator of labor. I was 3cm for two weeks before I had to be induced. They’re just super uncomfortable so I’ll most likely decline this time around.

Mine wont offer till 40 weeks but I decline. It will just drive you crazy or discourage you and doesn't correlate to labor. Also increased infection risk.

Depends on the doctor some start at 36 weeks some never do it until you’re in labor. Mine started at 36 weeks but because my cervix sits super high up and back further it is extremely uncomfortable and the two weeks they checked me it never changed so I refused checks after that no point in being uncomfortable more than I already was.

My midwife never checked until I was actually in labor. The more they check the more likely bacteria will be introduced into your vag and that’s never good
