The people commenting that they did aren’t the ones to listen to. Listen to your doctor! There’s a reason they recommend waiting 6 weeks and having clearance. You have an open WOUND from child birth. Infections are real.

Not to be rude but why the hell are women in such a rush for sex after giving birth to a whole ass human. You have a dinner plate sized wound in your body( thats how my ob refers to it) and just let your body heal. Have u even had your 6 week check up yet? You are at more of a risk then ever for infection and other issues why not just wait the recommended amount of time?

It’s highly recommended not to do so. You have six weeks to recover. Birth is a very hard thing for your body to go through. Listen to your doctors when they say six weeks or have given you the all clear. Just because somebody else did it and was fine, does not guarantee the same for you.

My doctor gave me clearance for intercourse at 4 weeks pp, but I believe that is because my bleeding stopped at 3 weeks. Mind you I waited the 6 weeks and I'm so glad I did.
