Why was my Growth scan denied?

Question

I went in for my growth scan at 32 weeks today and was sent back with the most bizarre request: please come back after having some fatty food.
I went after having a filling breakfast. I am so confused. Anyone faced this?
Also, this is not at my regular hospital, I went to a different place due to schedule constraints.
Thoughts??

How weird! I had a growth scan and no requests about food and drink were made at all. Did they try and scan and then send you away or not even try?

Okay... so I got my scan done from my regular place. It went very good. Upon discussion with my regular doc i learnt that the other place i went earlier today musunderstood the prescription... misread coloured doppler umbilical artery (UA) as upper abdomen (also UA). 
So they asked me to lie down, tried looking for 5 secs and told me to have fatty food since they could not see visceral tissue, as something was blocking. Now I know what was blocking... it is my enlarged uterus. Beware ladies, beware!! I doubt if the docs even realised i was pregnant. 😳

Why would it matter what you eat? I don't understand this request.

At my 20 weeks scan the baby was facing away, so they could not measure her well. They sent me away to have a sweet breakfast, as the sugar would wake her up and maybe make her turn. Could it be something like that?
