What should I do w my hair? (see pics ❤️)

So this has been my internal struggle for a while now, should I cut my hair, grow it or leave it be? Currently my hair is to my shoulders which I love:

I really really want my hair to be shorter, kinda like kaia gerber or just a tad longer

But here are the problems:

1. I’m not sure if I’ll look butt ugly and I have no one to tell me the brutal honest truth (does it not suit my face shape etc.)

2. I have a ball, prom and formal award ceremony to go to in a few months and idk if short hair will look good w my dresses, I don’t have pics of them :(

I understand hair grows back and I’m not really emotionally attached to my hair, I’m really just trying to figure out if this is a good idea
