Think my manager is abusing her sick leave
My manager recently got quite a complicated case of glandular fever. She did have to be hospitalised over a weekend a couple of weeks ago and she says she's not feeling sick anymore but is just really tired.
My boss decided to hand over 10+ of her duties to me and another lady because he felt bad and thought he made her sick. He said that she might take a month sick leave and we'll have noticed that she is quiet in the afternoon because she's too tired to work.
What I have noticed is on Facebook, she's posting a lot of her attending her children's sports in the afternoons (which she's always done anyway) and I saw she posted a thanks to her friends for the nice seven hour visit (she literally said seven hours) and this was posted at midnight with some pictures of her and her friends at a bar during the week.
I live with a chronic condition that causes chronic fatigue, chronic pain and anemia and I can't even make it to 20:00 without needing an energy drink, yet here she is too sick to work but is going out on a Thursday night until midnight?
We work for a really small company, no HR so no one to bring this up to. It just irritates me.
*** When her duties, that she's getting paid for, are handed to my coworker and I (at no extra pay (and I'm not talking about little things. I'm talking reports that take hours to compile, and my coworker and I are already overworked because my company can't afford to hire more staff)), I feel it's our business. When I have to work overtime (over and above what I already work because I don't have enough time in the day to do all my own work) to do her reports, because it's the only time I can do it, then I feel it's my business.
